Bangkok BAV High End Show 2015 Begins Today

This really is an analog planet!

I am in Bangkok, Thailand for the BAV High End Show that starts this morning. I was invited over to do a turntable set-up seminar each of the show's four days and a daily record collecting seminar too.

So far it's been great fun meeting people so far from home who share all of our audio and musical passions, perhaps with greater enthusiasm than found at home.

The excitement here reminds of how people view this hobby in The Philippines. It's major! The food here is even better than I'd imagined it would be.

Day one of the show begins now. Off I go.

How was the flight over Michael? Did you have a layover in Dubai?

Flew Newark, NJ to Tokyo. Four hour layover then six hours to Bangkok on my first 787 ride.

You do get around, don't you! You've seen as much of the world as some travel writers I think and to think it's all been based on audio!

I was there the last time we were in BKK. It happened to be next door to a business owned by my wife's friend. It's a nice old school record shop but I prefer the vinyl shops in Chinatown for digging.

what those 10 records to die for are. Once you are done with the talk can you post a list for those not lucky enough to be there?

Thanks!
