New TechDAS Air Force III “Extracts Essence” of Air Force I

Though new Air Force III’s precise price has yet to be announced, it will probably cost around ¼ of the price of the Air Force I.

Despite the far lower price, the Air Force III retains the top model’s ripple-free, low-vibration, silent air pump, air bearing platter and vacuum hold-down.

The platter weighs around 19 pounds compared to the Air Force I’s 42 pounds plus the weight of the additional top platter available in a variety of materials. The Air Force II’s platter weighs 22 pounds.

The Air Force III will have “different platter options” but those are to be “released subsequently”.

Drive is via an AC synchronous motor.

The main frame of aluminum, sitting on four height-adjustable feet, weighs in at 40 pounds. The ‘table supports up to 4 pick-up arms up to 12” in length, via optional arm boards. One is supplied standard.

An optional damping table will soon be available.
