AnalogPlanet Radio's WFDU HD2 Election Eve Show

Today's AnalogPlanet Radio Show makes a great soundtrack for tonight and tomorrow. All of the songs are either obliquely or directly political. Many are Rorschach test type tunes that can be taken "either way" while others are clearly targeted.

Something odd happened during the broadcast and one channel got chopped off on about six tunes, so they've been "reconstructed" here and all should sound "seamless".

Regardless of your politics, I hope you enjoy the show and: all of the tracks were transferred using the Schroeder arm/Lyra Etna cartridge/Doehmann Helix 1 turntable into the CH Precision P1 phono preamplifier with outboard power supply. The P1 has two current amplifier inputs and one voltage amplification input. For this show I used the voltage amplification input. I am sure that despite the digital compression you will hear the performance of this phono preamplifier currently under review.

Has nothing to do with voting, and the tune's subject matter is totally NOT about elections, but I always sing it when I go and vote - I am talking about the Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell track when the question gets asked; "what's it gonna be boy; Yes or No".

... is from the song "Paradise By The Dashboard Light", not "Bat Out Of Hell". It is on the Bat Out Of Hell album, but different song.

To hurry up and arrive
'Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you
I don't think that I can really survive"

Now I will leave it to the reader...

Have fun.

It's The End Of The World As We Know It.

Be very careful, history has its eye on us.

Not audiophile but a great song:

Dead Kenndys We've Got a Bigger Problem Now.

"California Über Alles" as it was about Jerry Brown, then they switched it to Ronald Reagan and now it is Jerry Brown again...

They renamed the song for Renaldus Magnus. Been a long time since my punk rock days...

Given Mikey's usual disdain for those who lean to the right on non political AP shows, I think I'll sit this one out.

you can listen to the show without any regrets.

I'm a big fan and supporter of yours. My wife gets sick of hearing me talk about you. Hell I'd marry you if it wasn't for your politics! :) Here's a perfect example. You played 'Eat The Rich' by Aerosmith. You then made a remake about how ironic that Steven Tyler would write than considering he's a Republican. Really? Wouldn't it have been more ironic since he's rich? No rich Dems? With all that said, not an R or D. Still love the show.
