Jerome Sabbagh's Next Kickstarter Funded Release Will Be All-Analog, Cut by BG and Pressed at QRP

Saxophonist Jerome Sabbagh's 2014 Kickstarter funded release The Turn was a musical and sonic success. It got great reviews here, in the Boston Globe, Stereophile and the L.A. Times. Now Sabbagh is back with another Kickstarter funded project but this time instead of recording analog and cutting from digital because of the extra expenses involved, he's going for an all-analog production.

The newest project, recorded last year, features guitarist Greg Tuohey, with whom Sabbagh hasn't collaborated in 20 years. Also onboard are Joe Martin on bass and Kush Abadey on drums. Recorded at Sear Sound by James Farber to 1/2 tape on on ATR-102, the new record will be cut directly from the master tape by Bernie Grundman and pressed at QRP.

Please go to the Kickstarter page for more details about the music, rhe recording and the funding. If you want all analog productions of great music, recorded live to two-track tape the way it used to be done, here's your opportunity to participate!

Pledged $40 to get one of the first 500 numbered pressings. Very interesting to see the budget for the project and the cost of various phases.
