British Psych/Folk Classic Issued by 4 Men With Beards

As the liner notes for ISB's self titled debut (Elektra EKS-7322) tell it, in the mid '60s Robin Williamson was singing traditional Scottish ballads, MIke Heron was in an r&b group and Clive Palmer was playing ragtime banjo.

As we all know, the world then went through some kind of strange wormhole and out came a warped universe that turned a skiffle band into the Beatles and an American idolizing r&b cover band into The Rolling Stones.

Cuban-Born Jazz Duo Produce Thoughtful Musical Excursion

The Cuban born, classically trained jazz pianist Elio Villafranca plays in a lyrical, yet not quite florid style that moves from Latin style fiery and dramatic one moment to deeply introspective and abstract the next.

Working lock-step connected with his friend bassist Charles Flores, also Cuban-born and classically trained, the two have come up with a dreamy, atmospheric set that at times swings carefree with lift-off Latin energy and at other times digs deeply into introspection and reverie.

Mobile Fidelity Reissues Wonder's Post- Coming of Age Album

No one before sang quite like Stevie Wonder  does on this groundbreaking album, but everyone did afterwards. Wonder's tonality and phrasing on Talking Book were breakthroughs in soul/pop vocalizing.

An explosion of artists began singing the word "baby" the unusual and exaggerated way Wonder does here. Even if they sounded completely different on the rest of the song they were performing, when they got to the word "baby" it came out sounding like Wonder's exaggerated "baby."

Audio Fidelity Reissues Nilsson's "Standards" Album

The iconoclastic singer Harry Nilsson lived hard and mostly sang softly. His Los Angeles debauchery with his pal John Lennon and the resulting outcast behavior including being tossed with Lennon from The Troubadour for heckling The Smothers Brothers is well known, as are many of the songs he wrote, including "One" covered by  Three Dog Night and "Cuddly Toy" covered by The Monkees.

Mobile Fidelity Silver Series Off to Auspicious Beginning

The music made by the Australian group Dead Can Dance during their seventeen year existence resembled soundtracks to imaginary movies. The core duo of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, who were also an item at the time, moved to the U.K. a year after the group's founding in 1981. They issued their first album on 4AD in 1984.

Zamfir

Viewers of late night American television during the 1970s and 1980s surely know Romanian pan-flutist Zamfir. His albums were direct marketed all over the tube back then. The ads were kitschy, with Zamfir playing pan flute versions of standards. The vibe was Liberace on a pan flute—an image I apologize for leaving you with.

So if you remember that, forget that. If you don't remember that, ignore the first paragraph.

The design is simple but it is captivatin for any audiophile like me. It has a solid build which makes it a good buy for the long term. I think it is an investment that you should make if you are looking to get clear cut recordings.

The MC is now such a hit it is backordered in the whole of The Netherlands.

Can't wait!

Canceled my backorder and went for a wood MC.

This table swings!

It looks like a detailed review of the Clearaudio Concept turntable. This model is well-regarded for its sleek design, ease of use, and high-quality sound. The review likely delves into its performance, build quality, and how it compares to other turntables in its price range. block blast adventure If you're considering a high-end yet user-friendly record player, this one seems worth a look.

It’s fascinating to see how it reproduces sound, especially in the midrange. It feels like enjoying classic music through a high-quality device. If you're looking for another enjoyable experience, you might want to check out the game color block jam level. It also provides some great moments of relaxation!

Enticing more music lovers to try vinyl requires a foolproof, plug'n'play solution. Asking a member of the digital generation to install a cartridge in a tonearm and then set up the VTA, SRA, VTF, etc. is asking too much. It's easier to make such a request of someone already bitten by the analog bug, but with turntables, wishing someone beginner's luck will not guarantee success.
