New TW Acustic Raven Phono Preamplifier To Debut at RMAF 2014

This is a sneak peak at the brand new TW Acustic Raven phono preamplifier designed and built by TW Acustic owner Thomas Woschnick. It will make its American debut at October's Rocky Mountain Audio Festival.

Technical specifications:

Inputs: 2 x RCA, 1 x XLR, other bespoke combinations possible to order.
Output: 1 x RCA
Gain: MM 40dB, MC 68dB (independently selectable for each input)
Matching: 50/100/250/500/1000 Ohm (independently selectable for each input)
EQ curves: RIAA, EMI, DECCA, MERCURY, COLUMBIA(independently selectable for each input)
Phase: normal/inverted (independently selectable for each input)
Operation: via the 6 front-mounted buttons. Settings for input, gain and matching are retained in memory after powering down the unit.
MM capacitance can be selected from inside the unit: 47pF, 100pF, 150pF, 200pF, 250pF, 300pF.
Valves: 2x 12AX7, 2x 6922.

Retail will be around $17,000.

Are you going to be there? Headed there for the first time. You have had turntable setup seminars in the past, but didn't see you on the list.

I will be there. I offered to do seminars but request denied. Show organizer said wants to go in "other directions". Sounds like a break-up line. The scheduled analog seminars will make transparent what occurred.

Because they do have a seminar that is titled "Cartridge Optimization for Musical Perfromance" that seems a lot like cartridge setup to me.
