A vinyl-loving physics professor at Florida State University emailed to tell me that William Stead, a "brilliant film student" was in his astronomy class and came up to the prof one day and told him he was a huge Bowie fan and that he loved vinyl. Stead made a short documentary about Doug and Michelle Allen, owners of Banana Records who I profiled in my Banana Records video, which you can find on the AnalogPlanet YouTube channel.

The first day of RMAF pointed out to those attending both the promise and the pitfalls of the new Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center located a few miles from Denver International Airport. The hotel is a sprawling, enormous resort. To navigate your way around requires downloading an app. Seriously. It's that big. You have to plan your time carefully because to get from the tower hotel room exhibits to the Convention Center takes at least 10 minutes and once you are there, arriving at the rooms or the seminar space can take another 10.

Wilson Audio Specialties today launched TuneTot, a compact desk-top loudspeaker intended primarily for near or mid-field listening in the executive suite, boardroom or wherever space is tight. Ideally, the speaker should be placed close to a wall to get low frequency boundary reinforcement benefits.
TuneTot the company’s most compact design since the mid-‘80s launch of the original WATT (Wilson Audio Tiny Tot). Wilson’s literature says it’s designed primarily for use on bookshelves, credenzas, counters and of course desktops—and not simply because of its size.
