Never Before Issued in America on Vinyl!

This 1973 release, minus saxophonist Phil Shulman who had left the group (leaving but two Shulmans),  was rejected by Columbia Records for being "un-commercial" yet it became one of the band's most popular releases. It was available only as an import in America.

The Erroll Garner Project in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh (where Octave Music in 2015 archived Garner’s physical assets) and in partnership with Mack Avenue Music Group celebrate what would have been Garner’s 100th birthday with three forthcoming vinyl releases due September 17th: Liberation in Swing: Centennial Collection is a Deluxe Limited Edition Box Set, Liberation in Swing: The Octave Records Story & Complete Symphony Hall Concert (Standard Edition Box Set) and Symphony Hall Concert (single 180g LP, CD and digital editions).

On November 12th Universal will release numerous versions of The Who's Tommy, including "Deluxe" as well as "Super Deluxe" editions as well as the original configuration on double 180g vinyl. The press release doesn't divulge the vinyl source, who mastered or who is pressing.

March 9 – Experience Hendrix and Legacy Recordings have released Jimi Hendrix’s new album Both Sides of the Sky today on CD, digital, and as a numbered 180-gram audiophile vinyl 2 LP set. NPR Music recently declared, “No rock figure before or since could breathe fire like Hendrix does, on his beloved well-known albums and on the assortment that is Both Sides of the Sky.” For the occasion, director John Vondracek has created a music video for “Lover Man,” a single from the album.
