According to Pro-Ject founder Hans Lichtenegger, last year was Pro-Ject's best ever and by a wide margin. That has allowed him to update and upgrade much of the line, including the popular Essential turntable.
Sumiko and Pro-Ject USA just introduced the handsome new Debut PRO turntable. Cosmetics are based around a satin black and brushed-nickel color scheme. Beyond the clearly great looks, there's a new 8.6" arm featuring a one-piece carbon fiber wrapped aluminum arm tube said to produce excellent rigidity and to reduce resonances.

Pro-Ject's Expression III turntable now includes an upgraded, one piece carbon fiber tonearm featuring the company's massive "C" bearing structure and a Sorbothane decoupled counterweight.
Pro-Ject introduced its new, upgraded RPM line of turntables at Munich's High End Show. The RPM 1 now features a new carbon fiber over aluminum arm tube as well as a new magnetic repulsion anti-skating system. The price will go up some but the exact price has yet to be announced.
