Let's just say I went into the TechDAS Air Force Zero's recent debut at The Audio Salon in Santa Monica with a great deal of skepticism. A big, lumbering turntable featuring an enormous and massive multi-layer platter system seemed like a prescription for over-damped, ill focused sound. What we heard those two evenings was anything but! By the way, what you see towards the bottom of the platter is not a reflection. That is the lower part of the platter!

AnalogPlanet got invited to ta pre-CES Show opening launch of the new Technics SL-1000R and SP-10R Reference Class turntables and the sound was impressive! This was the first time these turntables were shown working and the sound based on about an hour of listening on the eve of the show's opening day was impressive!

The Sl-1200G review will post shortly. Meantime, here's a comparison between it and the Continuum Caliburn fitted with the SAT arm, both fitted with a Lyra Etna cartridge.

Lyra Cartridge CEO Stig Bjorge collects some vintage audio gear. The Technics SL-15, introduced in 1981, is among his favorites. Recently, he found one for sale in America and he asked me if I'd pick it up for him in Princeton, New Jersey, which happens to be the home of The Princeton Record Exchange.

When Nicholas Cage, holding up a Beatles LP at the beginning of \"The Rock,\" said \"These sound better!\" kids must have been listening!

The truth wins out!
