Third Man Records will release on Friday August 2nd, previously unheard live recordings from the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival. The 50th anniversary release includes live performances from Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Son House, B.B. King, Magic Sam, T-Bone Walker, James Cotton, Junior Wells, Big Mama Thornton, Otis Rush and many others.

If you search Stereophile's website under darTZeel founder Hervé Delétraz's name you'll find his multi-part "DIY" story posted in 2000. Since his "DIY" days, Mr. Delétraz has gone on to design and manufacture a series of sonically stunning and visually distinctive high performance darTZeel audio products.

It looks like the 50th anniversary of Woodstock concert is off, but Craft Recordings celebrates anyway with the release on August 2nd,, finally of Live At Woodstock CCR's late Sunday evening performance at the original Woodstock, 1969.

Hard to believe 50 years have passed (well maybe not that hard to believe), but here we are (well, most of us anyway!). On Thursday, August 15th, theaters nationwide will bring back to movie theaters for the first time since it first opened, March, 1970. However, this will be the 3 hours and 44 minute "Director's Cut" version never before screened in theaters (there will be a single, short intermission).

If you'd have told me a few years ago when Vinyl Me, Please launched, that within a few years the curated based vinyl subscription service would be at the top of the vinyl reissue heap, I'd have said you've been inhaling too many PVC fumes. But here we are with a vinyl reissue that's perfect in every way.
