Storytone A Twice Told Neil Young Album (Revised Mastering Info)

On Storytone Neil Young wears his heart on his sleeve and splattered on his windshield, serving it up both straight and backed by orchestral and big band arrangements. All of the performances are recorded live, with no overdubs.

The thirty something album from the sixty something artist gives fans Neil as open and vulnerable as he’s ever been on record—and his trademarked soprano is as liquid and supple as it was in his youth.

Legendary Mastering Engineer Doug Sax Has Passed Away

It is with much sadness that I inform you that Doug Sax, the great mastering engineer, direct-to-disc pioneer, co-founder of Sheffield Labs, founder of The Mastering Lab and of course a truly wonderful and pleasingly cantankerous person, passed away the morning of April 2nd. He would have been 79 on April 26th.

D'Angelo's Black Messiah  Took Fifteen Years To Produce

Squishy, sticky, elastic beats, some so slow and off-kilter that they threaten to fall apart, ghostly falsetto harmonies, cavernous empty spaces between the rhythmic wah-wah pulses and a distant, almost other-worldly sonic perspective announce D’Angelo’s singular sinewy yet gentle vision.

Audioengine's B2 Bluetooth Speaker Sweepstakes

Register to win an Audioengine B2 Bluetooth Speaker (MSRP $299) we are giving away.

According to the company:

"The audio quality of most Bluetooth products isn't usually very inspiring and their limited range can be frustrating. The B2 solves these problems by implementing the aptX codec, which is a high-quality audio converter designed specifically for audio. The B2 also has special circuitry and a precision-tuned antenna to extend the wireless range, providing much more versatility than other Bluetooth speakers."
