Pure Vinyl™ and Pure Music® developer Channel D recently announced an update to its Seta Piccola phono preamplifier. The new Mk2 features a series of component improvements aimed it further improving its moving coil cartridge performance.

(Press release): Charles Lloyd & The Marvels have released “Ramblin’,” a rollicking version of Ornette Coleman’s tune which is the first single from the legendary saxophonist and NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd’s forthcoming album Tone Poem out March 12 on Blue Note Records. The vinyl edition of the album will be the first new release to be featured as part of the acclaimed Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Series with the vinyl supervised by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray, pressed at Record Technology, Inc. (RTI), and packaged in a deluxe Stoughton Printing gatefold tip-on jacket. Fittingly, it was Lloyd who first dubbed Harley the “Tone Poet.” Tone Poem is available for pre-order now on vinyl, CD, and digital download.

Contrary to what at least one vinyl vendor's website claims, Chris Bellman is not involved in the new Tommy vinyl reissue.

The 12-Part "Behind the Counter 2021" video series debuts today and continues weekly 12pm EDT with 11 additional installments available of Classic Album Sundays' various Internet platforms. These are short, fun videos well worth watching, though on the first one debuting today the guy kind of disses buying a good pressing and says "whatever" as long as it's physical. He needs a wake up call!
