20th Annual Blues Masters at the Crossroads. Join Me In Salina, KS!

The 20th annual "Blues Masters at the Crossroads" blues festival happens Friday night October 27th and Saturday night October 28th in Salina, Kansas. It's much more than just a music festival, though with talent like Charlie Musselwhite, Doug MacLeod, Marquise Knox, Lucky Peterson and William Bell among others, that would be enough!

Making the two nights of great music even more special is that the event will give you the opportunity to visit the 100,000+ square-foot Acoustic Sounds campus. That means you can browse the warehouse full of records and tour the Quality Record Pressings (QRP) pressing plant.

On hand will be Record Technology Inc. pressing plant owner Don MacInnis and his "secret weapon", veteran pressing expert Rick Hashimoto as well as Stoughton Printing's Rob Maushund. You'll have the opportunity to have all of your record pressing and jacket printing and fabricating questions answered.

AnalogPlanet editor Michael Fremer (me) and Positive Feedback editor David Robinson will also be there. Two nights of great live music, all night jam sessions afterwards, and whatever else might happen at such a gathering guarantees a great and memorable time.

Friday night's venue is famous Blue Heaven Studios. Saturday night it's the nearby Stiefel Theatre.Based on previous years, I can guarantee you'll have a blast. All you have to do is find your way to Salina and book a room (inexpensive) at a local hotel. The easiest way in for many is to fly to Wichita, KS and drive the hour or so to Salina, though you can also fly into Salina.

Hope to see you there!
