Mack Avenue Music Group Webstore Event Distributes 100% of Sales Directly to Artists

Mack Avenue Music Group launches an all-sales-go-directly to-the artist event starting Thursday, April 30th, which is also International Jazz Day, running through May 3rd. Mack Avenue Senior Director of A&R Will Wakefield says, "Almost everyone I know—musicians, managers, venue owners and booking agents—are facing unemployment or worse for an unknown amount of time. We are keenly aware of what that means and wants to be there to help in whatever way we can and I think this is good start."

There's plenty of great vinyl available there including Christian McBride and Cécile McLorin Salvant collections that will begin being available on 4/30. The individual LPs are also available. Also there is Julian Lage's Love Hurts, Gary Burton's career retrospective Take Another Look recently reviewed here, plus vinyl releases from Joey DeFrancesco, Macy Gray, Kenny Garrett and many, many others. Mack Avenue always has excellent sound in addition to great musical talent. If I didn't already own all of Cécile's albums I'd buy that bundle. How cool knowing the $ goes directly to her! Also, there is the Oscar, with Love box set and many others worth owning, especially now to directly support the artists.
