TOM WAITS VINYL RECALL ISSUED BY RHINO!

http://www.tomwaits.com/news/article/139/Tom_Waits_Rhino_Repress_Vinyl_Exchange/

If you've bought any or all of Rhino's first four Tom Waits 180g reissues and were disappointed with the sound quality, you are not alone. You are not a "crazy audiophile." You just care about good sound and so does Tom Waits and Rhino. Go to the above link to find out how to get replacements for any or all of the first four reissues, whether you bought them from Kings Road in America or Europe, or from a record store or other online vendor.

Return requests will be taken until Monday April 18th....

There will be a lag time until the newly approved acetates can be processed and new LPs pressed.

This is fantastic news and means that the rest of the catalog reissues will be of very high quality.

Bravo to Tom Waits, Rhino, Kings Row, Gavin Lurssen and all involved in making record buyers whole in this unfortunate incident.

Hi Micheal. It's been a good while since this post, but having purchased Small Change and The Heart of Saturday Night from CB, I was hoping by this time we may have seen re masterings of Swordfish-trombones and Rain Dogs. He was at Asylum in the 70s for the first four and then Island in the 80s when these were made. Short of any inkling on these being done, do you have any idea which pressing of one or either of these I might look for used ? Or do you have a copy that you like ?
I know you can't respond to everything, but no harm in asking.
