Considering the high cost on the used record market of the original now out of print Hell Freezes Over double LP, the $349.98 box set is somewhat of a bargain. Much of the material is also available on streaming services (etc.).

From the press release: "LEGACY follows the Eagles through the different stage of the band's storied career, from the country-rock of early albums like Desperado and the superstar success of Hotel California, to the band's 1994 reunion Hell Freezes Over and its most-recent studio album, 2005's Long Road Out of Eden. All of the band's hits, deep cuts and fan favorites are here, including "Take It Easy," "Already Gone," "Hotel California," "Please Come Home For Christmas," "Heartbreak Tonight" "No More Cloudy Days," and "Get Over It."

"The Eagles - Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill - have one date remaining in their extensive 2018 North American tour, a December 7 show in Honolulu, before kicking off 2019 with a tour of Australia and New Zealand in February and March. The band will then launch a European tour next summer including a June 23 performance at Wembley Stadium in London."

Unfortunately, the press release does not state who mastered the other vinyl albums, whether it was from analog tape or digital sources and where the records were pressed. Therefore the press release is woefully incomplete.

Very well written. I was on Lake Vermilion that night.... can’t say I’m sorry.

- if you have the original Hell Freezes Over and bought the previous box set. I would bet on them using the same mastering for the 72 to 79 albums. I only need the singles here so hoping this comes available separately.

If the vinyl isn't cut from the original master tapes in pure analog, what's the point? I also heard that the original master tapes from their first album was lost or misplaced years ago. Can anyone confirm this?

Hey Michael,

what has it taken until March 8, 2019 to release, Hell Freezes over outside of the box set. I have had my copy on order since it pre-order announcement early in 2019. Suppose to release on March 8th and they were all back ordered in Canada including Amazon. Now I am reading reviews here and there about the SQ and it seem to be Brick Walled. Have you listened to a copy of the 25th anniversary release yet?
