Miracle Audio's Phonatic Phono Preamp Available in 3 Versions

College Point, NY (Queens, L.I.) based Miracle Audio demoed its Phonatic phono preamp priced from $4500 for the MM version to $6200 for the "xr" version featuring 70dB gain, an enhanced power supply, Vishay Z-foil R's and Clarity MR caps. The in-between version, the "MC", priced at $5200 is the line's "sweet spot." It's functionally identical to the xr but uses standard, not ultra-premium parts. There are no capacitors in the circuit. Like the Luminous phono preamp, op-amp servos handle D.C. offset.

The above information came from the company's "one-sheet." A visit to the website paints a slightly different picture: gain there is spec'd at 60dB with a third optional gain stage that raises gain to 72dB. Perhaps the disparity can be explained by a claim on the "about Miracle Audio" page : "Miracle Audio Inc., is a handful of dedicated, creative, talented and borderline insane individuals supported by some of the finest small and mid-sized companies in the world."

Their slogan could be "If it sounds good it's a Miracle!"

Too many versions, though.
