Pro-Ject and UMe Introduce George Harrison Themed Turntable

George Harrison would have turned 78 today but this George Harrison themed Pro-Ject turntable spins at 33 1/3 and 45. It's a special edition Essential III featuring stainless steel bearing, aluminum pulley, new DC motor speee controller, acrylic platter, 8.6" one piece aluminum tonearm featuring sapphire bearings and an Ortofon OM10 cartridge.

Is this the same Project 'George Harrison' turntable launched on George's birthday - February 24th - in 2017? That was launched alongside the new George Harrison vinyl LP box set and an extended version of his book "I, Me Mine." Thank you.

I'm not sure. They are claiming a new motor and motor controller but how "new" is "new"? I will ask someone who will know....
