Systemdek Revolution Turntable

You say you want a Revolution, well, you know — we all want to spin some LPs. To that semi-thematic lyrical end, I’m happy to report that Systemdek is getting back in the vinyl-playback game with their upcoming Revolution turntable.

Projected for a fall 2025 release, the Systemdek Revolution table is the first new product from the storied brand in a number of years. The Revolution is said to be earmarked for vinyl enthusiasts “seeking precision performance and build quality.” (So, technically speaking, that would be all of us!)

Some background now. Founded in the UK in the early 1980s, Systemdek built a strong reputation for producing audiophile-grade turntables with innovative engineering. (And, if memory serves, they oh-so-briefly called themselves Aristodek before changing their name permanently to Systemdek.)

Back to the here and now. The Systemdek Revolution table is said to have been designed to “offer high rotational stability and detailed musical reproduction through a blend of advanced engineering and analog tradition.” At the core of the table is a magnetically opposed hydrostatic taper bearing, a system that purports to eliminate mechanical contact at the bearing interface by using magnetic levitation and hydraulic damping.

To minimize noise and vibration, the Revolution incorporates a 3-point mass-loaded hanging suspension system and constrained-layer mass damping throughout its design. This combination is intended to provide effective isolation from external disturbances and internal resonances.

A high-inertia Delrin platter is said to maintain speed stability and reduce vibrational artefacts. The Revolution supports mechanically adjustable speed control for both 33⅓ and 45rpm LPs. The table is also compatible with tonearms between 9in and 10in, allowing users to pair the Revolution with a tonearm of their own choosing.

As noted earlier, the Systemdek Revolution turntable is projected to be available in the fall of 2025, and it sports an SRP of £4,950 (excluding tonearm).

Note: We expect to see the company’s official site, which appears to have been dormant for a while and under some level of current reconstruction, to again be active soon. Once the Systemdek site returns to fully active duty, we will both list it and link to it here — and include whatever their forthcoming distribution details are as well.
